Heavy Rotation: Indie house, disco, and brazilian funk

Here’s our round-up of our favorite electronic music sent to the blog in November so far. All of this music has been on heavy rotation here at TNLF HQ and this month it’s much more eclectic than previous months. Rather than striaght up dancefloor bangers, this month’s heavy rotation runs the gamut — from disco and tech house, right down to ambient indie. But first… let’s start with a party: Nina J’s love letter to Rio de Janeiro, “Suco de Sol.”

Juando & Aguava – Suco de Sol (feat. NINA J)

Nina J is a Brazilian-Swiss artist whose music blends the emotional intensity of dark pop with infectious Carioca Funk and Latin Urban influences. For “Suco de Sol” she joins Juando and Aguava to create a hypnotic house track that is infused with the vibrant energy of Brazilian carnival.

Husky – Get It Down

Husky turns up the heat with some chunky rhythms and playful disco touches on his new single “Get It Down.”

Analog Dog – Cántame

California-based 4-piece band, Analog Dog adds a new dimention to their upcoming album with their new single ‘Cántame.’ The new album will be called ‘It’s Not the Money We’ll Remember’ and is set to release January next year. The lead single off the upcoming album is called ‘Cántame’ and it is a four-and-a-half minute celebration of all the comedy and drama that we play into every day.

Jakke – Brick by Brick

Jakke’s new EP, All Ways, Always, is a boundary-pushing album that fuses alternative rock, progressive house, and cinematic soundscapes. The EP’s lead single, “Brick by Brick,” pulls listeners into a sonic world that feels equal parts dancefloor and psychological thriller. Lyrically, it explores duality: the push and pull between light and dark, control and surrender, dissolution and freedom.

Younger Brother – A Paradox of Witches

Indie electronic duo Simon Posford and Benji Vaughan (aka Younger Brother) have just released their latest album, Mutually Assured Distraction, and it is excellent. The lead single off the new album is called “A Paradox of Witches” and draws inspiration from traditional English folklore (the title itself comes from Shakespeare).

Inwards – Fishing

British indie electronic producer, Kristian Shelley (aka Inwards) is probably best known for his playfully melodies, modular synths, and fluid use of found sounds. Along the way, the prolific creator has amassed an archive of unreleased recordings, and it’s from this vault that his new album is drawn, and nine captivating new pieces of music have been constructed.

Glassio – When The Beat Carries On

Written after a transatlantic move from New York to London (and in the wake of newfound sobriety), Glassio’s new record unfolds as a self-portrait in motion — a dream-pop opus about shedding illusion and rediscovering purpose in creation. The new album is called The Imposter and it is set to release Febraury 2026.

Across its 13 tracks, Glassio weaves together elements of shoegaze, early-2000s electronica, and psychedelic folk, creating a sonic world where memory and melody drift in tandem. Needs No Sleep & Renee Naccari – Video Games

Needs No Sleep has emerged from the darkness to put out some of the freshest deep house sounds on the Australian club circuit. We’ve been featuring him on mixtapes since 2023 and he’s been one of our Tech House producers to watch in 2024. This month he’s teamed up with Renee Naccari to reimagine Lana Del Rey’s 2012 single, “Video Games” …and it is fantastic.

Neon Rouge x DTAILR – Voyage

If Needs No Sleep gets this mini-mix of tracks on the dancefloor, Neon Rouge and DTAILR continue the theme with their low key tech house banger: “Voyage.”

“Voyage” lays weaves together instanly locks you in with hypnotic groove that captures the essence of underground. A true deep tech piece built for late-night sets and immersive listening — “Voyage” is a track that pulls you in and doesn’t let go.

Vilde – Isle

Thomas Savage (aka Vilde) first appeared on our radar 4 years ago with his melodic 5-track EP, Speaking With Strangers. Over that time, Vilde has liveed a nomadic lifestyle, releasing 6 LP’s while moving between Stockholm, Düsseldorf, Norwich and Edinburgh. This year saw Thomas return full circle to his beloved home city of Melbourne to write and record his 7th LP: ‘Qualia at odds.’ Check out “Isle” from the album below, and look out for Qualia at odds on February 4th, 2026.

Silver Liz – Through The Trees

Brooklyn indie electronic duo Carrie and Matt Wagner (aka Silver Liz) have just released the second single from their upcoming LP: III. The track is called “Through The Trees” and it started as an iPhone demo Carrie played on an unplugged electric guitar. The duo got so used to the intimate sound of the iPhone demo, they decided to simply re-record the unplugged electric guitar for the studio version. The raw strumming is set against a lush backdrop of synths and drums soaked in reverb, creating a sense of both intimacy and cosmic expansiveness. Perpetuated by a fluid and cinematic song structure, each section feels like a cut to a different scene in a romantic drama about star-crossed lovers. Just the perfect way to end our collection of songs for Heavy Rotation.
