Roll into the weekend with some chillwave electronica

Blurring the boundary between organic and electronic music, Banyan’s signature sound is bound less by genre and more by the depth of feeling it evokes.

Over the past few years, the duo has made quite a name for themselves working with major industry tastemakers, including some acclaimed remixes that drew the attention of Odesza and Christian Löffler.

This year they continued the momentum by landing themselves on the #1 spot on Hype Machine for their remix of “Offshores” by Koresma.

For their latest single, “Holly,” Banyan explore the idea of finding comfort during a time of helplessness. The song was a reaction after one of the producer’s mothers had a health scare. “We wrote this song as a tribute to his mother’s bright and beautiful spirit and all the ways it has shaped us and the world,” explains one half of the duo when talking about the song. “Both of our mother’s have been guiding lights in our lives and huge supporters of our music so this felt very fitting.
