Heavy Rotation: introspective electronic inspired from around the world

Here’s a round-up of our favorite electronic music sent to the blog recently. This is all the electronic music that has been on heavy rotation here at TNLF HQ.

Bronze Whale – I’m Still Here

To kick things off, we’ve got the gorgeously vast new single from Texas-based duo Bronze Whale. The track is called “I’m Still Here” and it’s a slow-burning lift of a track.

“The track is one of those songs that came together slowly and just kept pulling us back in,” explains Aaron Jaques when talking about how they worked on “I’m Still Here.” “It’s built around a simple idea — holding on when things feel uncertain — and everything in the track kind of supports that.”

Taroug – Mides

The German-Tunisian electronic producer, Taroug, released his new album Chott (which is named after Chott El Djerid, a vast salt lake in southern Tunisia). The lead single on the album is called “Mides” and it aims to capture the sensory experience of the heat and landscape of his homeland.

Release week single “Mides” captures the sensory experience of heat and landscape of his homeland, with a rhythmic production style punctuated by traditional instruments and sounds. It is shaped by contrasting atmospheres and blends traditional instruments with contemporary electronic textures.

Owari – Natural Hues

Let’s take you from the lakes of Tunisia to the rolling hills of the UK. English artist, producer, and engineer, Oliver Still (aka Owari) sends the listener floating with his debut LP, “Natural Hues.” The title track on the album has been nearly 6 years in the making and is heavily inspired by the music of Tourist and SG Lewis. It blends layered, melodic tectures with a driving percussion. In many ways, the track marks one of the earliest transition points in the project’s evolution towards a more defined dance sound. Even though it was written earlier, it feels aligned with my more recent, dance-focused tracks on the ablum.

ETA – Gucci Taste

Time to rachet up the tempo just a bit. This new single from ETA hits with a bit of tech house vibe mixed with some 303 acid flavour.

Cameron Fairy – Palm

The BPM continues to rise with Cameron Fairy’s new single: “Palm.” It’s an old school house cut with a UK garage feel. With its nostalgic rave piano stabs, percussive drumbeats, and gritty UK garage bassline, the track sits at the intersection of hardhouse and hardgroove. Energy!

JNGL94 – Looking For U

From UK garage-inspired house to jungle beats. Finnland-born, London-based JNGL94 takes us underground with his new single “Looking For U.” It’s a late-night, post-rave breakbeat track with a nostalgic, emotional edge. Built around rolling jungle drums, atmospheric pads and a hypnotic vocal that slowly unfolds. Get involved

Omar Awbu – MakeMeSweat (Omar Awbu remix)

For his latest single, Palestinian producer Omar Awbu reworks his track “MakeMeSweat” with vocal cuts from Kendrick Lamar, Nancy Ajram, and Ehab Tawfik. The track is an excellent blend of many genres: hosue, hip hop, and a bit of Arabic flavor. It’s like a natural conversation between different parts of the world.

Library Fighter – Champagne

Melodic house producer, Andrew Land, releases a new single this month under his moniker: Library Fighter. The track is called “Champagne” and it is a piano-led house cut built for late-night floors and early-morning comedowns in equal measure. Anchored by warm, rolling drums and a rich low-end groove, the track opens out into uplifting piano motifs that feel both nostalgic and forward-facing.

Mini Sants – In The Dark (Toby Lewis-Evans Remix)

Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Mini Sants, kicks of 2026 with a disco-funk remix of his single “In The Dark.” The remix, (which was produced by British funk-lord newcomer Toby Lewis-Evans) is everything listeners could want in an indie dance record. Laced with splashy guitar, funky baselines, and live percussion, the remix is perfect for fans of The Knocks and Goldroom.

Boni – Big City

It’s time to bring slow the beat down a bit now. The new LP from Canadian producer Andrew Cariboni (aka Boni) is set to be a shape-shifting, groove-forward electronic album. The opening track off the album is called “Big City” and it is a deliberately warped house cut stacked with acid melodies played over a laid-back beat and a bluesy piano loop. The perfect track for a wind down. If you like what you hear, head over to the Boni Bandcamp page to secure your copy of the album.

OTHEOSE – Dreaming Myself Away

Will finish off our selection this week with Canadian producer Kevin Krouglow (aka OTHEOSE). His new single, “Dreaming Myself Away,” leans into the desire for escape. Its title reflects a specific state — the brief but meaningful relief found in allowing yourself to drift… to detach… to exist inside sound without needing resolution.
