The Jezabels
This years Governors Ball Music Festival has a pretty sick lineup that includes Sydney base band The Jezabels. I checked them out for the first time yesterday (I know, I’m way behind) and was SUPER impressed. Their sound is hard to categorize because they combine various influences to create a sound that can be called “intensindie” – whatever that means. If I had to explain it though, my synopses would be 1 part M83, 1 part Florence and The Machine, 1 part Pat Benatar … Not a bad mix of influences if you ask me.
