New York-based duo, Marian Hill, mix some lofi electro sounds with a hip-hop hook. Their new single challenges gender roles and looks to flip the script. Writer/producer Jeremy Lloyd takes on the role of frontman, while vocalist Samantha Gongol finds herself on keys. Though stylistically simple, the track delivers an involved message. They take on the ever-important role of changing the narrative and challenging the language that describes women in music.
