“Constellation Records established 1997 in MontrĂ©al Canada releasing 4-8 albums per year on LP and CD in quality packaging.”

Quality packaging!

Constellation Records is quickly becoming a star-studded galaxy dotted with phenomenal bodies of music. It is no surprise that so many artists have gravitated towards them, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Siskiyou, Last Ex, Thee Silver Mt. Zion, the highly decorated Colin Stetson (of Bon Iver, Feist, Arcade Fire and The National fame) etc. etc. Now, set to release their second full length LP, Montreal based post-punkers Ought are primed to ride the critical acclaim of their first album. Shuffling beats are set to abstract conversation sing-talk, urban street chatter, the kind of noise that usually surrounds a circle of cigarette smoke, but Tim Beeler’s voice is clear and concise, confidence brimming behind a thick veil of apathy. Ought is hilarious, frank, understated, and all kinds of who gives a fuck. Pair them with a tall boy (Canadian for 16oz beer), a Canadian tuxedo adorned with anarchist pins, some Parquet Courts and a late night long board downwind.

Keep an eye on Constellations Records, and an ear out for Ought. “Sun Coming Down” hits shelves on September 18th.
