Chillwave Wednesday CXXXVI
The German producer behind Roosevelt, Marius Lauber, is no stranger to Chillwave Wednesday with the myriad of remixes he’s contributed in the past. This week he has earned his place at the top of the mix with his new original track “Moving On.” It’s the epitome of “chillwave” in my mind. Smooth, a bit soulful, and a heavy dose of blissed-out electronic synth.
There’s plenty of that in this weeks hour-long mix, including a Richnuss edit of Toro y Moi’s track “Rose Quartz” and a fantastic Goldroom remix of RAC’s track “I Still Wanna Know.”
RAC – I Still Wanna Know (ft. Rivers Cuomo) (Goldroom Remix)
Goldroom has released his remix on the verge of kicking off his summer long High Seas Boat Tour, starting June 3rd in Los Angeles. This track features a prominent electronic sound and upbeat tempo, perfect for the summer season. And the track features some lovely vocals from the one and only Rivers Cuomo! Get involved!
Ramzoid – Firefly (Feat. Haley Sheffield)
The track hails from Ramzoid’s forthcoming EP which is slated for a fall release date. Until then, he plans to spend the summer festival season bringing his nuanced live show to audiences far and wide as with his drum kit, launch pads, and midi-controllers in tow.

KLANGPLANET – Island
“Island” is the third song from Frieder Mollat’s KLANGPLANET Project. Using minimal vibes as a stylistic framework merging with field-recordings from different surroundings he is creating a musical journey and sound mélange instead of one particular element standing out from the crowd. It’s the perfect track to wind you down towards the end of our chillwave journey.
