Check out the new single, “Dive” from Swiss electro-rockers Matto Rules. The track comes from their upcoming second album entitled Hidden Scenes, set to release in February.
The name of the band was inspired by Matto, the ghost of insanity in Friedrich Glauser’s pulp novel In Matto’s Realm. When explaining their new single, frontman Lorenzo Bonati says that it “refers to the state of mind between sleep and being awake, when you walk through the door of subconsciousness into the dream world. Diving is a strong symbol in dream interpretation and has various meanings and implications. This is combined with the song’s lyrics about a story of struggle, insight, and finally leaving it all behind – to dive into the unknown.”
