Throwback Thursday: Lord Echo
Today we we aren’t throwing that far back. I’d like to highlight the Kiwi producer and multi instrumentalist Lord Echo. He has been flexing his dual-mastery of 60’s production techniques and modern dancefloor aesthetics for over a decade now, through a flowing blend of boogie-laced Funk, disco-primed Reggae, futuristic Soul, and timeless African rhythms. Here’s one of his tracks you might recognize:

A letter from the president:
Dear music fan,
Contained herein is a document of super human endeavor.
For nigh on a decade, LORD ECHO has toiled to bring forth his ‘Melodies’ – and I for one believe that congratulations are in order. There was a time when ECHO was but a lowly studio engineer, plying his thankless trade amid a dingy succession of struggling artistes. His was that seedy milieu – the nether region inhabited by musicians, electrical repair technicians and second hand dealers. From such inauspicious beginnings Echo has raised a glittering oeuvre – Bravo
Yours Sincerely,
THE PRESIDENT OF ECONOMY RECORDS
