Two years since I’ve heard anything out of Jackson Scott, the mysterious basement-dweller who wrote one of King Krule’s favorite jams of the year “That Awful Sound”. It’s easy to get lost in the ever-expanding ocean of reverb-drenched psychedelia, the genre is as saturated as the sound, but Scott’s latest single is another bold statement for teenage dirtbags and those of us who make a point to keep our shoes untied. Feel free to trip as hard as you like, PRPLMTV is bound to make you fall flat on your face.
His next album “Sunshine Redux” is set to drop via Bloodmoss Records on April 28th, right on time for spring, color, and undoubtedly, the hazy fuzz of substance excess. Get your buzz on early.
