FloFilz & Jerome Thomas are feeling ‘Sensitive’
The prolific Berlin-based producer FloFilz has returned with another dreamy jazz cut in his signature style that blends Hip Hop and Jazz in perfect fashion. The self-taught bedroom beatmaker who also studied violin and classical at University has built his reputation led by his seductive blend of Lo-Fi and cites A Tribe Called Quest, J Dilla and Madlib as key influences.
FloFilz has worked with an array of UK talent including the likes of Alpha Mist and Barney Artist… This time he’s drafted in Hackney based Jerome Thomas whose conscious R&B flow gels perfectly with the melancholic lucid tones. The track divulges into the harsh realities of today’s world and the use of drugs to pull oneself away from the news and social media, which can be felt with these lyrics “Showing on the news and you print it in the paper, first thing when I jump up online. All I see are images of murdering and pillaging, so hell yeah ima get high”.
The new single is out now via Melting Pot Music and you can expect more FloFilz material next month with his ‘Close Distance’ album out on April 8th.
