The “Untitled” album by SAULT could be the spiritual soundtrack for the Black Lives Matter movement

Last year I was blown away by when the band SAULT suddenly came on the scene. It was impressive because they had produced two full length albums in one year. And I’m not talking about an album with one or two good singles and the rest is filler. The whole damn album was solid. And they did that twice.

Now, in response to George Floyd’s murder and the incredible global outcry, the band have released another full-length double LP called “Untitled (Black Is).”

On the SAULT website there is a message describing the album:

We present our first ‘Untitled’ album to mark a moment in time where we as Black People, and of Black Origin are fighting for our lives. RIP George Floyd and all those who have suffered from police brutality and systemic racism. Change is happening… We are focused. SAULT x

It’s hard to choose my favorite tracks from the album – I could have easily listed 10 tracks below – but I’ve selected three for you to sample. Then head over to the SAULT shop to buy the vinyl and support the music.

SAULT – Wildfires

SAULT – Don’t Shoot Guns Down

SAULT – Bow (feat Michael Kiwanuka)
