In The Subway: Moon Hooch
Came across these guys rockin’ it on the Union Square subway platform a couple of weeks ago. It’s amazing what you can do with two saxophones and a four piece drum set. Not sure what the song in this video is called, but they have a bunch of songs up on their bandcamp page. I have to admit though… their recordings are missing some of that raw sound that you get when you see them play live. So next time you are underground in New York City, keep your ears open for a runaway snare drum and a couple of dueling saxophones killing it on a distant subway platform.
