Gettin’ Ignant
What a hot fucking couple of days!
There are so many types of mixes I could make to celebrate a 100ºF + day in New York city. But what is more fitting then wrapping up a tribute to heat with a mix inspired by the south?
So what’s the theme? The only prerequisite for including songs on this mix are as follows:
- It has to have a sick fucking bass that sets car alarms off
- the lyrics must not be more complicated then “let me smack that hoe, give me my money, roll that weed bitch, etcetera
- And finally, the artist must own one of the following: gold encrusted grillz, something with “D’s” on it, an uzi, and/or a bullet proof Ferrari
Sure, the mix is a bit one dimensional, but that fits the theme so nicely doesn’t it?

*As most of you might know, I’m a cracker ass white boy from the north east who grew up listening to rock and roll, so I can’t claim all the credit for this mix. I had a little help from my southern friends on this one. Mostly just pointing me in the direction of the crunkest bass out there, teaching me what N.O. Bounce means, and showing me videos of ass shaking. Shout out to Annie Uh Oh, HOT 107.1fm, “Memfis” (Duke Rodda) and Darius (you put me on to most of these songs… and the brilliant title).
