Your LoFix #13 – wake & bake, good morning music

As we welcome the Spring morning sun that’s coming back and in this thirteenth edition of the series we provide the perfect good morning music for a wake & bake!
Coming out via Chill Select is the smooth piano led ‘After Hours’ tune from Ben Jammin’ Beats & Illuzionary. A perfect way to kick start the day with the jazz driven bassline and beat that gives space for the piano to do its thing. A couple of vocal samples at the end break up the track and remind you ‘Yeah’ it’s going to be a good day.
As you can probably tell, I like to start my wake & bake with some jazzy vibes. T.Check make great use of live instruments in his beats and ‘newman jazz’ is full of surprises as the tracks floats on by, from the horns to the guitar to the catchy piano melody all mixed up and got me shufflin’ round the house.
Providing beats since 2013, Maple Syrup is always my go to when I need that bossa influence sound to get me up in the cold weather mornings around the UK, close my eyes and day dream. Borboletas starts of with a subtle rainforest backgroup and beautifully strummed guitar, as the mesmerising vocals hit you’ll find yourself drift away.
Created in the smokey social clubs in Barcelona almost two years ago, ‘Its Hassans Time’ is a homage to the city and hash creator Hassan. A perfect jazz number for when you’re having that morning coffee and smoke, the horns take centre stage and trade regularly with the guitar.
Hailing from Cali, Jason Masoud the incredible guitarist has teamed up with the talented producer that is IONA. Let them take you on a journey to Pleasantville with their polished drums and uplifting guitar licks. Feel yourself raise for the day with the building and layering of Jason’s guitar.
